MCCH`s Radiology Department seeks a Radiologic Special Procedures Tech.  This is a full time position and is eligible for benefits.  This position requires an on-call rotation.

Job Description:

The Radiologic Technologist works under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director and reports to the Director and/or Assistant Director. The Radiologic Technologist operates a variety of radiological equipment for diagnostic purposes in the detection of disease and injury.  He or she upholds the mission and vision of Murray Calloway County Hospital and follows all hospital policies and departmental procedures.  In addition, the Special Procedures Tech performs angiographic and interventional as well as general radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the clinical direction of licensed medical staff on all types of patients in an efficient and caring manner in order to provide data for the diagnosis of a wide variety of medical conditions. Evaluates exams for diagnostic quality while using professional judgment in the performance of services. Ensures the provision of safe quality care for the adult and geriatric patient in accordance with all applicable standards of practice, policies, procedures and governing regulations. The Radiologic Technologist must be able and willing to cross-train into other appropriate modalities.  Experience in cardiovascular procedures preferred.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • ARRT registered or registry eligible. 
  • Must hold a radiation operator's license in the state of Kentucky.
  • Current CPR.
  • Additional modality certifications preferred

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent.
