MCCH`s Cardiopulmonary Department seeks a Full Time Cardiac Sonographer for the hours of 7:00 am- 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.  This position is eligible for Full Benefits.

Job Description:

The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing exams such as Echocardiography, Stress Testing, TEE, ECG, and Holter Monitoring and scanning used to observe, monitor, and evaluate cardiac function as ordered by the physician.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with a Cardiac Credential. 
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification must be acquired within one year of hire date.
  • Compliance with Continuing Education Requirements 
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid for Health Care Professionals

Minimum Education:

  •  Accreditation by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) is preferred 
  • Associate degree in Science or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Two years experience in Echocardiography

  • Drug Screen
  • Tuberculosis Test

  • Respirator Fit
