Murray Calloway County Hospital seeks a Certified Scrub Tech or Registered Certified Central Sterile Tech.  This is a full time position with benefits.  Hours will be 10:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Sterile Supply Unit Coordinator and the Director of Perioperative Services, receives, decontaminates, assembles and reprocesses supplies, instruments and equipment for disinfection and sterilization. Inspects and reassesses instruments and equipment for reprocessing. Distributes trays and supplies in a timely manner. Sterilizes trays, instruments and supplies according to established procedures. Processes, incubates, interprets, and records autoclave biological/chemical testing devices.

Required Certifications and Licensures

  • Certification as Scrub Tech or
  • Registered Certified Central Sterile Tech

Minimum Work Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have a high energy level with ability to work under stress of the operating room atmosphere and exhibit emotional maturity, stability, and flexibility
  • BLS certification required
